BAYLOR HEAD COACH Kim Mulkey
On Purdue:
"That is a very poised basketball team. That team is on a mission. I compliment Purdue. You don't see that kind of zone this early in the season. I don't know why they play that zone; but, it is very effective and very good."
On the game:
"The crowd got back in it and we made some shots. We never could gain momentum back after the technical foul. I thought we rebounded with them; but, we didn't stop them. When they needed a second and third rebound, they were able to get it."
SENIOR FORWARD Bernice Mosby
On why Baylor lost the game:
"That's just something from youth, it comes with experience. We need to get on the right page as a team and execute more sharply."
On Purdue:
"(Lindsay) Wisdom-Hylton came out and played a great game. (Katie) Gearlds is one of the best players in the country. We did our best on both of them; but, they won because they are a great team."
FRESHMAN POST Danielle Wilson
On her defensive efforts:
"I tried to help in any way I could. Coach said if I could block shots then I should block shots."
PURDUE HEAD COACH SHARON VERSYP
On the players:
"I was very proud of this group of young women, playing five games in eight or nine days. I have never been so proud of a group of women I have coached."
On stepping up:
"Our ladies stepped up. Lindsay (Wisdom-Hylton) started everyone off well, knocking down the outside shot. I thought our execution in the first half was really good."
On FahKara Malone:
"She really stepped up. She's been the missing piece going into this season. I don't think she's playing like a freshman. She's done exceptionally well."
