Baylor is 3-2 overall and 2-1 this year in head-to-head shows going into Sunday's event. The Bears' last show was an 11-9 win against Oklahoma State, who had previously defeated the Bears 17-7 a week before. High-point riders for Baylor were N. Brown (85) over Fences, Wilson (94) and White (94) on Flat, and Tomko (73.5) in Horsemanship. Brown and Graber earned Fences and Horsemanship MVP honors, respectively.
The Aggies enter Sunday's show coming off of a 1-16 tie-breaker loss to Oklahoma State. With the points tied, the officials went to raw scores to determine a winner. After the lowest score for each team in each discipline was dropped, the Cowgirls edged Texas A&M 2329 to 2317.5. The Aggies are 2-1 overall (note that one victory was against SMU who features only an English team) and 0-1 in conference.
