WACO, Texas - Junior Lars Poerschke will begin competition in the 32-player main draw of the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) Mansfield Futures Tournament at the Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas, beginning on Wed., Oct. 18.
Poerschke will take on Ikaika Jobe, a wild card entrant, who advanced to the main draw through the qualifying bracket. Also competing in the tournament is former Baylor standout Zoltan Papp. Papp's first round opponent is Ryler Deheart.
Freshman Dominik Mueller competed in the 64-player singles qualifying draw. In first round action, Mueller posted a three-set victory over Russia's Mikail Pavlov (6-1, 0-6, 6-2). He was eliminated in second round action by Dane Chuntraruk, 7-6(6), 4-6, 6-4. Chuntraruk went on to win his next match which qualified him for the main draw.
