HEAD COACH Kim Mulkey-Robertson
On individual play:
"I was impressed with Rachel Allison's aggressiveness and rebounding. I thought Jordan (Davis) and Jessica Morrow helped out with hitting shots on the perimeter."
On season outlook:
"We can't do some of the things on the road that we did tonight. I'm happy about a win; but, I look at a bigger picture and we're trying to win a Big 12 championship."
On zone defenses:
"I'm sure other teams are going to get a hold of this game tape and challenge us. You got to hit some perimeter shots. We got to figure out how to score."
FRESHMAN Rachel Allison
On her 14 rebounds:
"I try to crash the boards hard every time and I had my share of touches; so, I figured I had a few rebounds."
On Baylor's defense:
"Their posts were huge. One was 6'4" and the other was about 6'. I think the guards did a good job of getting in the passing lanes and the posts forced them out. If we keep this defensive intensity up then we'll be ok in the Big 12."
SENIOR Jordan Davis
On team perfomance:
"We didn't start the game off the way we wanted to. It was a tough zone and when we tried to reverse it, they were right there. It took us a few minutes to kind of get used to it."
On the team's defensive perfomance:
"When you're playing bad on offense then the best way to help out your offense is to play hard defense."
