Baylor will compete in the 2005 Big 12 Men's Golf Championships Friday through Sunday at Whispering Pines Golf Club, a 7,330-yard, par-72 layout in Trinity, Texas.

Baylor has finished ninth each of the past two championships.

The Bears are led by sophomore Jeremy Alcorn, who carries a 71.48 stroke average, which ranks second in the conference. Alcorn has recorded three victories this season and has finished in the top 10 seven times in 11 events.

The tournament is a 54-hole event, with 18 holes played each day - Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Baylor will tee off at 8:00 a.m. Friday from the 10th tee, paired with Kansas State and Missouri. Tee times are at 8:00 a.m. and 8:50 each day and the second and third round pairings are determined by position in the team standings.
