Austin Adams drew a full-count walk with two outs in the bottom of the 11th and moved to second on a wild pitch. Abe Woody then got Chad Huffman to ground to Russo. However, the throw was low and first baseman Kyle Reynolds could not make the pick.
Woody (4-2) suffered the tough-luck loss, allowing an unearned run on no hits in two-thirds of an inning. TCU's second reliever of the night Lance Broadway (9-1), the Frogs normal Friday starter, earned the win, allowing only a walk with two strikeouts in 1.2 innings.
Baylor took a 1-0 lead without a hit in the top of the second. Kevin Russo walked to lead off the inning and moved to second on a wild pitch. After a groundout moved Russo to third, he scored on another wild pitch.

The blast snapped LaMotta's consecutive scoreless innings streak at 28.2 innings, covering 14 appearances. It was the first home run allowed this season by LaMotta, who had not allowed a run since Feb. 27 at
Bears' starter Jeff Mandel scattered four hits with three strikeouts in 5.0 scoreless innings. Tyler Bullock pitched 1.2 scoreless innings in relief, and LaMotta allowed only McGuirk's home run with two strikeouts in 3.1 innings.
