BRYAN, Texas - The Baylor men's golf team wrapped up with a 297 to finish seventh overall at the Aggie Invitational Saturday at 7,146-yard, par-72 Traditions Golf Club.

Sophomore Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) shot an even-par 72 to finish sixth at 2-under par 214. Alcorn got off to a 4-under par start with birdies on four of the first seven holes, but scattered four bogeys the rest of the round to finish even.

Sophomore Chase Thomas (Dallas, Texas) tied for 27th with a final round 73 to finish at 225. Thomas carded back-to-back birdies on 12 and 13. Sophomore Colton Turnquist (Austin, Texas) tied for 40th with a final-round 74, which included three birdies, and finished at 229.

Sophomore Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) tied for 51st with a 79 in the third round, while redshirt freshman Dusty Isabell (Athens, Texas) tied for 54th with a 78 for a total of 232. Redshirt freshman Brian Meck (Austin, Texas) had a strong showing playing individually and tying for 23rd with a 223. Meck was solid with 13 pars and two birdies for a final-round 73.

Oklahoma State claimed the team title with a six-over par 870, while New Mexico finished second at 872. Texas Tech (882), Oklahoma (889) and SMU (891) rounded out the top five.

Oklahoma's Anthony Kim and New Mexico's Spencer Levin shared medalist honors at 6-under par 210. New Mexico's Charlie Beljan, Texas' Jeff Bell and Oklahoma State's Tyler Leon tied for third in front of Alcorn at 213.

The Bears return to action at the Big 12 Championships hosted by Texas A&M April 29-May 1 at Whispering Pines Golf Club in Trinity, Texas.
