WACO, Texas - The top-ranked Baylor men's tennis team host No. 39 TCU Tuesday night at the Baylor Tennis Facility, after the Bears took a six-day break from match play last week. Baylor enters the match at 17-0, 4-0 in conference and have won 41 straight dating back to last season.
The match marks the first of two meetings these two intra-state rivals will play this season. Baylor will travel to Fort Worth April 6, for its second match against the Horned Frogs.
TCU enter Tuesday's match with a 5-8 record. The Horned Frogs started the season on a 5-1 run, but have lost seven straight to fall below .500. Their last win was a 4-2 victory over Louisville at the C-USA Shootout in late February.
Baylor is 8-32 all-time against TCU, but the Bears have won four straight, including seven of the last nine meetings. The last time the Bears lost to the Horned Frogs came April 4, 2001, against then-ranked No. 2 TCU, 7-0, in Fort Worth.
Match time is set for 6 p.m. CST Tuesday night. In-match scoring will be available at baylorbears.com.
