The Baylor men's golf team returns to action this week at the Lexus Invitational hosted by Florida Gulf Coast University Monday and Tuesday at the 6,879-yard, par-72 Hammock Bay Golf Club in Naples, Fla.
The Bears are coming off a sixth-place finish at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate last week in Puerto Rico.
Sophomore Jeremy Alcorn leads Baylor with a 71.48 scoring average and has finished in the top 20 in all but one of the Bears' seven tournaments, including back-to-back victories at the University Club Intercollegiate and the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate. Junior Will McDonald will be making his first start of the spring after playing in two fall events.

Chase Thomas [Sophomore]: Also making his third straigth start after after transferring from New Mexico at the beginning of the spring semester...carrying a 74.67 stroke average through six rounds...tied for 36th at the Hyatt Plantation Club Intercollegiate in his last start...tied for 33rd in his first start as a Bear at the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate.
Will McDonald [Junior]: Making his first start of the spring after starting two tournaments in the fall...averaging 77.16 strokes per round...tied for 61st his last time out at the Duke Golf Classic...tied for 37th in the season-opening Baylor Invitational.

Alcorn on Fire...
Sophomore Jeremy Alcorn has finished in the top 20 in six of seven tournaments this season, including four top 10s and the first two victories of his career at the University Club Intercollegiate and the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate...Alcorn, the October Big 12 Golfer of the Month, currently ranks third in the league in scoring average.
