WACO, Texas - The 25th-ranked women's tennis team continued its winning ways Saturday as the Bears battled back to beat No. 38 Pepperdine 4-3 in a rain-delayed contest.

The day started in Waco for Baylor and Pepperdine where the Waves took all-three doubles matches to take the doubles point. However, due to rain, both teams traveled north to Fort Worth to finish singles action in an indoor complex.

Due to the limited courts, only three matches could be played at a time. Baylor struggled after the delay, quickly dropping two of the first-three matches played. No. 41 Zuzana Zemenova defeated No. 52 Natalie Braverman 6-2, 6-2 giving Baylor its first point of the match.

Looking at a 3-1 deficit, the Bears took all three from the Waves in the second set of matches to give Baylor the win. Iva Mihaylova defeated Lise Sissler 6-2, 6-0 in what would have been the fifth court. Zuzana Krchnakova handled Eva Dickes 6-3, 6-2 to give the Bears the 4-3 victory.

Baylor returns to action on Tuesday as the Bears travel to Fort Worth to take on TCU. Match time is set for 2 p.m.
