PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif. - Zuzana Cerna, Daniela Covello, and Carolin Walter have all placed in the qualifying rounds of the Riviera/ITA All-American tournament held throughout this week in Pacific Palisades, Calif. Cerna and Walter start qualifying singles, round of 64, play Tuesday, Oct. 4, and the Covello/Walter tandem also begin qualifying doubles, round of 32, tomorrow.

Cerna, who already won two matches in prequalifying rounds earlier this week, is scheduled to play at 9 a.m. Tuesday against Tennessee's Vicky Jones. Cerna is nationally ranked 122nd in the ITA's preseason poll while Jones is slated at No. 75. Also in singles, Walter, nationally ranked 29th, will play Nina Suvok from Florida , ranked 56th nationally, at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.

In doubles action, Covello and Walter will compete against Florida's fourth seeded qualifying duo Whitney Benik and Suvok. No time has yet been released for the doubles draw but the first round of 32 will be played Tuesday no earlier than 3:30 p.m. Baylor's team is nationally ranked 26th while Florida's girls sit at 18th.
