COLLEGE STATION, Texas - In the first day of play at the ITA's Southwest Regional, Baylor's doubles teams rolled through the round of 64. The three teams chalked up decisive victories at Texas A&M's George P. Mitchell Tennis Center this afternoon.

Zuzana Cerna and Klara Zrustova, the draw's eighth seed, defeated Katherine Barto and Sheila Mubalac from the University of Texas-Pan American with a solid 8-0. Later this afternoon Daniela Covello and Carolin Walter, the third seed, beat Northwestern State's Marcia Alcantera and Fernanda Silva 8-1 while 16th-seeded Zuzana Krchnakova and Iva Mihaylova won 8-2 over Houston's Tiffany McLaughlin and Yolandi Terblanche.

The teams will continue doubles action Saturday at 3:30 p.m. after singles matches in the morning.
