• Today's crowd of 10,332 was a sellout and the largest crowd in Baylor Lady Bears history. The previous record for attendance was 10,074 when the Lady Bears played Drake on March 17, 2002, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

• No. 3 Baylor is now 12-1 on the season and 2-0 in Big 12 Conference play. Texas falls to 8-4 and 1-1 in the conference with the loss.

• Baylor's 63-60 win over No. 7 Texas marks the Lady Bears first win over a top ten opponent since Baylor defeated No. 10 Texas Tech on March 10, 2004.

• Baylor is now 15-51 all-time versus Texas; however, the Lady Bears are now 6-3 against the Longhorns under Kim Mulkey-Robertson. Since the start of Big 12 Conference play, Baylor is now 4-5 in conference openers and 5-4 in conference home openers.

• The Lady Bears' 12-game win streak is their longest since a 12-game string in 2001-2002.

• The win was the first in Baylor's 12-game win streak in which they did not be an opponent by more than 12 points.

• Baylor outrebounded Texas 39-32. The Lady Bears are now 11-0 on the season when outrebounding their opponent.

Sophia Young scored in double figures for the 22nd consecutive game and the 60th time in her last 62 games. She set a season-high for points with 25 and has now scored 20 points in consecutive games. She also grabbed 15 rebounds to record her seventh double-double of the season and 34th of her career.

• Steffanie Blackmon was the only other Lady Bear to score in double figures, scoring 19 points. She has now scored in double figures in 11 of 13 games this season.

• For the first time this season, Baylor did not hit a three-point shot. It marked the first time an opponent has held Baylor without a three-point field goal since Oklahoma held the Lady Bears without a three-pointer on Feb. 12, 2003, in a 78-64 Sooners victory. Prior to today, Baylor had hit a three-pointer in 60 straight games.

• Baylor held a 40-20 advantage over the Longhorns in points in the paint and a 23-11 edge over Texas in second chance points.

• Baylor is now 11-0 on the season when out-shooting its opponent. The Lady Bears held Texas to 35.8 percent shooting from the field (19-of-53) and marked the fourth time this season Baylor has held an opponent to less than 40-percent from the field.

• Chelsea Whitaker added nine points and led the Lady Bears with four assists in the victory.

• Baylor will return to action on Jan. 12 when the Lady Bears travel to Lincoln, Neb., to face Nebraska at 7:05 p.m.
