Women's Tennis Travels to Georgia

WACO, Texas - Baylor's #41 women's tennis team travels to Georgia this weekend to take on #34 Georgia Tech on Saturday in Atlanta, Ga. The bears will turn around and face the #13 Georgia Bulldogs on Sunday in Athens, Ga.

The Lady Bears are coming off a win over #31 Florida State last Sunday. Their match against #2 Florida last Saturday was cancelled due to weather.

Baylor holds its share of ranked players with Carolin Walter at #43 and Zuzana Cerna at #92 in singles. Cerna and Daniela Covello hold down the #9 ranking for doubles.

Georgia Tech boasts two ranked players with Kristi Miller holding down the #18 spot and Kelly Anderson at #79. The team also includes two ranked doubles teams. Miller and Alison Silverio are ranked #16 and Anderson and Lydsay Shosho are ranked #58.

Georgia also will be tough competition. The Bulldogs Shadisha Robinson will be the highest ranked singles player the Bears have faced so far at #10. Natalie Frazier holds the #39 spot. Robinson and Frazier team up to hold down the #38 doubles spot.
