WACO, Texas - Baylor junior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) was named to the 2004 All-Big 12 Men's Golf Team, the league office announced today.
Baca recently finished tied for fifth at the 2004 Big 12 Championship and leads the Bears with a 72.24 stroke average, which ranks fifth in the conference. He ranks second on Baylor's all-time list with 12 Top-5 finishes, including three career victories. Baca also ranks second with 19 Top-10 showings. Baca trails current Nationwide Tour money leader Jimmy Walker by seven in both categories.
Texas' Jason Hartwick was named Player of the Year, while his coach, John Fields, was named Coach of the Year. Oklahoma State's Anthony Kim earned Newcomer of the Year honors.
The Bears return to action at The Maxwell hosted by Oklahoma State May 15-16 at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore, Okla.
