ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Men's tennis proved victorious in Saturday's matches as Lars Poerschke advanced to the finals match in the consolation bracket at the ITA National Indoor on the University of Michigan campus.
Poerschke started the day strong by upsetting No. 18 Ken Skupski of LSU in straight-sets 6-4, 6-4 in the consolation-quarterfinals match. In the afternoon match, Poerschke defeated Dante Cipulli of Southwest Baptist 6-4, 6-3.
Poesrchke will face KC Corkery of Stanford in the consolation finals match on Sunday. Corkery defeated Marek Velicka of Oklahoma 7-6, 6-3 in the other semifinals match to earn a spot in the consolation finals match.
