Women's Tennis Tandem's Streak Ends

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Women's tennis doubles team of Daniela Covello and Zuzana Cerna saw their undefeated streak come to an end when they lost in the quarterfinals of the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships on Friday at the University of Michigan's Varsity Tennis Center.

Cerna, a sophomore, and Covello, a junior, ran their record as a tandem to 4-0 before dropping an 8-3 decision to the Northwestern duo of Audra Cohen and Cristelle Grier. Grier is currently ranked No. 1 in the ITA's singles rankings. Prior to playing the Baylor duo, Grier and Cohen had knocked of the tournament's No. 1 seeded doubles team of Whitney Benik and Lolita Frangulyan of Florida.
