The Baylor men's tennis team for the second weekend in row will face two opponents. The Bears will play their second conference match on Nebraska's home courts Fri., March 7 at 2 p.m. (CST). From there, the men's team will travel to Lexington, Ky. where they will face the No. 9 Wildcats at 2 p.m. (CST).

Last Friday, the Huskers opened up their conference play against the No. 54 Texas Tech Raiders. The Red Raiders proved too much for the Huskers with Nebraska suffering a 5-2 defeat, ending a seven-match winning streak. Last year, Baylor defeated Nebraska 6-1 to open up the Bears Big 12 Conference play. Only one ranked Husker player will face the Bears this weekend, sophomore and 78th-ranked Florian Preissler.

The Bears will be put to the test again as they face top-ten team No. 9 Kentucky. The ninth-ranked Kentucky men's tennis team defeated then-ranked No. 22 Georgia 4-3, Sunday in Lexington. Last year's match between the Bears and Wildcats was played on Baylor's home turf. The men's netters came back to upset the then-ranked No. 4 Wildcats 4-3 after losing the doubles point. Kentucky brings with them only one ranked player, No. 10 Jesse Witten. Then-ranked No. 5 Witten will be looking for redemption after being upset last year by then-ranked No. 7 Benjamin Becker.
