WACO, Texas - Baylor Baylor's men's tennis team, ranked No. 4 nationally, will host two Big 12 matches this weekend when Oklahoma and Oklahoma State travel to Waco.
Also, in rankings released today by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, Baylor remained ranked at No. 4. The Bears, for the first time in the program's history, have six players ranked among the nation's top 100 players. Benedikt Dorsch remained at the No. 1 spot, Zoltan Papp is No. 36 and Matias Marin is No. 37. Reiner Neurohr broke into the rankings for the first time this season at No. 86 while Benjamin Becker is No. 89 and Ivor Lovrak is No. 99. In doubles, Baylor has two teams ranked. Marin and Lovrak are the Bears' highest ranked team at No. 35 and Neurohr and Dorsch are No. 40.
On Saturday at 6 p.m., the Bears, currently 13-1 on the season and 2-0 in Big 12 action, will take on the Oklahoma Sooners. Oklahoma, currently ranked No. 72, is 10-2 on the season a 0-1 in league play. They lost to Texas Tech 5-1. On Sunday (March 16) the No. 74 Oklahoma State Cowboys will take on the Bears at the Baylor Tennis Center. The Cowboys are 4-0 on the season. They will open conference play on Saturday at Nebraska before traveling to Waco.
