Men's Tennis Team Anchored At No. 3

WACO, Texas - According to the latest team rankings released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA), both the men's and women's Baylor tennis teams remained at their previous rankings. The men still hold the No. 3 spot in the country, while the women stay at No. 45.

The men's team, coached by Matt Knoll, is currently 5-0 on the season, and the Big 12's highest ranked team. The Bears swept last week's matches against Wichita State and Colorado. Next men's tennis action will be on Sat., Feb. 15 at 2 p.m. as the Bears host No. 45 South Alabama. The will then host No. 21 Pepperdine on Sun., Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. Both matches are at the Baylor Tennis Center.

The women's team made no move in the rankings after losing 4-3 to then-No. 21 Miami, leaving the Bears with a record of 1-3, and a national ranking of No. 45. No. 15 Texas and No. 32 Texas A&M are the only two other Big 12 schools ranked ahead of the Bears. Baylor will face No. 70 Texas Tech Sat., Feb. 15 at 10 a.m. at the Baylor Tennis Center and will travel to No. 26 TCU on Sun., Feb. 16 for a 12:00 p.m. match.
