* Today's contest was the first overtime game of the season for each team. The last overtime contest for the Lady Bears was a 69-66 loss to Oklahoma State in 2001. Baylor has not played a double-overtime contest since the 1986-87 season. That year it took the Lady Bears two extra frames to defeat Southwest Texas State 86-84.
* Baylor improved to 8-7 all-time in overtime contests.
* The Lady Bears 57 rebounds were a season high. The previous best was 55 board performance against Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Dec. 5.
* Today's contest was the ninth between Iowa State and Baylor. The Lady Bears now hold a 5-4 series advantage. Baylor has won the past three contests in the series.
* Baylor improved to 12-1 when leading at the half and 14-1 when shooting 40 percent or better from the floor.
* The five Lady Bears scoring in double-figures were the most since six players recorded double-digit point totals at UCLA on Dec. 19.
* With 10 rebounds and a team-high 24 points, sophomore post Steffanie Blackmon recorded her seventh double-double of the season and the ninth of her career.
* Freshman Sophia Young scored in double figures for the 12th time in 19 career games. With a career-high 17 rebounds, she also recorded her ninth double figure rebounding game for her ninth career double-double.
* Baylor had two players with double-doubles for the first time since defeating Mercer on Dec. 28. Blackmon and Young accomplished the feat in that game as well.
* With the win, the Lady Bears improve to 51-52 in Big 12 contests, including a 23-14 record under head coach Kim Mulkey-Robertson.
* Baylor is 38-5 at the Ferrell Center under Mulkey-Robertson (third season).
* Baylor has recorded three or more blocks in every game this season.
* After tying or outrebounding every non-conference opponent, the Lady Bears held an advantage off the glass (57-to-45) for just the third time in Big 12 play (45-to-26 over Texas A&M and 39-to-32 over Oklahoma).
