Men's Tennis Set for ITA National Indoors

WACO, Texas - Baylor junior Benjamin Becker will compete in the ITA National Indoor Championships, hosted by the University of Michigan, Nov. 6-9. The tournament is the premier indoor collegiate tournament for Division I men and women and includes a 32 player men's singles field.

Becker is heading to the tournament hot off a singles championship title in the ITA South Central Regional. In 2001, Becker advanced to the final match of the ITA Indoor Championships before being defeated by Harsh Mankad of Minnesota. Becker is currently ranked No. 17 in the nation and will compete against No. 75 Izak Van der Merwe of Old Dominion in the first round Thursday, Nov. 6.

Baylor's Benedikt Dorsch, last year's indoor champion has elected not to play in the tournament.
