WACO, Texas - Baylor's two singles players, Jason Gould and Matija Zgaga, could not get past the round of 64 in the pre-qualifiers of the Icy Hot/ITA Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee. While the duo of Jon Reckewey and Gould were eliminated in doubles play.

Gould lost to Lee Walker of Memphis 6-1, 6-2 in the round of 64. Zgaga, a Baylor freshman, came out strong but lost his match to Frederico Ueltschi of Montana State 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.

The only doubles match for Baylor did not turn out any better. Gould and Reckewey lost to Zach Dailey and Lewis Smith of Vanderbilt 8-5.

Having been eliminated from the pre-qualifiers round, Baylor's next match will be Ivor Lovrak in the qualifiers round against a yet to be named opponent on Oct. 7.
