WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's tennis team will face the University of Southern California Trojans in round of 16 action of the 2002 Men's NCAA Tennis Tournament on Sat., May 18 at 1 p.m. in College Station, Texas.
Baylor, 27-1 on the season, currently ranked No. 4 nationally and the tournament's sixth seeded team, face a Trojan squad that is seeded 11th, ranked 11th nationally and is 21-5 on the season. The Bears blanked Hartford and Harvard 4-0 to advance to the championship site, while USC beat Oral Roberts (5-0) and Arkansas (4-3) on the road, to pave their way to the Texas A&M campus. Other teams competing in the round of 16 include: Auburn, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kentucky, Mississippi, Notre Dame, Pepperdine, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, UCLA and Washington.
Winners of round of 16 matches will advance to the quarterfinals on Sun., May 19, semifinal action is on Mon., May 20 and the championship match will be at 7 p.m. on Tues., May 21.

May 18 - 10 a.m. - Tennessee vs. Texas; Kentucky vs. Duke - winners play at 1 p.m. on May 19
1 p.m. - Illinois vs. Notre Dame; Baylor vs. Southern Cal - winners play at 1 p.m. on May 19
4 p.m. - Georgia vs. Texas A&M; Pepperdine vs. Mississippi - winners play at 4 p.m. on May 19
7 p.m. - UCLA vs. Florida; Washington vs. Auburn - winners play at 4 p.m. on May 19
