WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's tennis team moved up two spots, to No. 4 in this week's Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings. This marks the highest ranking for the men this season and is one spot shy of the team's highest ranking ever. The Bears were ranked third in the nation on March 23, 1999.
Baylor, currently 25-1 on the season, had moved up one spot last week after clinching the Big 12 Championship with a win at Texas A&M. The Bears won three matches en route to the Big 12 Tournament championship this past week against Oklahoma, Texas Tech and then defeated Texas A&M in the finals.
The Bears are riding a school record 16-game win streak going into the NCAA Championships.
