COMING UP...
After playing three games in a four day period and returning from a seven-day road trip to Montana and Louisiana, the Baylor Lady Bears will take on the Arkansas-Pine Bluff Golden Lionettes on Thursday, Dec. 5 in the Ferrell Center. After that, the Lady Bears will break for nine days for final exams.

THE LADY BEARS...
The Lady Bears bring a 5-1 record into the game against Arkansas-Pine Bluff after defeating Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond 70-55 on Monday, Dec. 2. The game concluded a seven-day road trip to Montana and Louisiana where the Lady Bears posted a 2-1 record.

Steffanie Blackmon leads the Lady Bears in scoring with 22.2 points a game. Three others are averaging in double-digits as well. Sophomore post Melanie Hamerly (Orange, Texas/Little Cypress/Mauriceville HS) each averages 10.7 a game. Junior guard Jessika Stratton (Colorado Springs, Colo./Coronado HS) follows closely with 10.5 an outing and Sophia Young (St. Vincent, West Indies/Evangel Academy, Shreveport, La.) scored 10.0 a contest.

Young, a 6-0 freshman, is the Lady Bears' leading rebounder grabbing 8.5 a game. Steffanie Blackmon is close behind with 8.0 an outing.

Chelsea Whitaker (Dallas/Skyline HS) leads the squad in assists with 7.33 a game. Stratton ranks in second with 4.83 a contest.

Steffanie Blackmon scored a career-high 30 points against Southeastern Louisiana. She is the first Baylor player this season to hit the 30-point mark. In addition, Chelsea Whitaker hauled down a career-high and team-high eight rebounds against Southeastern Louisiana. She narrowly missed a triple-double against the Lady Lions with eight points, eight rebounds and eight assists.

HAMERLY AND BLACKMON LEAD BIG 12...
Sophomores Melanie Hamerly and Steffanie Blackmon each rank No. 1 in the Big 12 Conference in a category. Blackmon ranks No. 1 in scoring at 22.2 points a game. Kansas State's Kendra Wecker is closest to her at 20.7. Hamerly and Kansas' Tamara Ransburg share blocked shot honors at 3.33 a game. However, Hamerly has twice as many blocked shots (20) and games (6) as Ransburg. WHERE HAVE THE TREYS GONE...
After hitting 19-of-34 treys the first three games of the season, the Lady Bears seem to have lost the touch. In the past two games they are 3-of-21 for 14.3 percent from 3-point range.

THE OPPONENT...
ARKANSAS-PINE BLUFF LIONETTES
The Golden Lionettes are 1-1 on the season after posting a victory over Texas College and a 115-37 loss at Kansas State.

Danisha Garrison was the lone Lionette to score in double digits against Kansas State, she tallied 16.

Arkansas-Pine Bluff's roster has four players with Texas ties:
