Dorsch and Lovrak Remain Undefeated

WACO, Texas - Baylor's Benedikt Dorsch and Ivor Lovrak both picked up wins Saturday. Dorsch will advance to the final round at the Omni Hotels National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, while Lovrak advances to the semifinals at the Burrows/Burleson Virginia Tech Invitational.

Dorsch, the No. 4 seed, beat Ohio State's Jeremy Wurtzman 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in today's semifinals. Dorsch will face Illinois' third-seeded Amer Delic for the second time this season. Last month Delic beat Dorsch 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinals at the first national tournament of the season last month - the Icy Hot/ITA Men's All-American Championships in Chattanooga, Tenn.

Dorsch is the second straight Baylor player to reach the final at the Omni Hotels Intercollegiates - Benjamin Becker advanced to last year's final (losing to Minnesota's Harsh Mankad). The german native is now 21-1 this season, with 12 top-100 victories (four of those coming in the last three days).

In other tournament play, Baylor's Lovrak defeated Brown's Jamie Cerretani in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3. He will face Wake Forest's Mike Murray tomorrow morning.

Senior Mike Garcia dropped his consolation match this morning to Grant Reynolds of Virginia Tech, 2-6, 6-2, 2-1, but will continue play in the tournament. He is pit against Adam Narczweski of Winthrop.
