Men's Golf Heads to Missouri

WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's golf team will continue its fall season by playing at the Nestle Purina Classic on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8, at the Missouri Bluffs Golf Club in St. Charles, Mo., just outside of St. Louis.

The tournament boasts a competitive 14-team field that includes Baylor, Arkansas State, Charlotte, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Mississippi State, Missouri, Rice, Texas Tech, Tulsa, West Florida and host Missouri.

The format of the Invitational consists of 54 holes beginning with two 18-hole rounds Monday starting at 8:00 a.m., and a final round Tuesday.

The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club is a 7,047-yard, par 71 course situated in St. Charles.

Baylor finished fourth out of 15 teams at last year's tournament they were lead by then-sophomore Adam Meyer who finished 10th individually. Arkansas State took home last year's title by finishing three strokes in front of the host Tigers.

The 17th-ranked Bears have finished in the top five in each of their last 12 regular season tournaments.

In Baylor's last outing of the fall, the Bears won the Jayhawk Intercollegiate in Lawrence, Kan. Three Bears finished in the top 10. The team was lead by Ryan Baca who captured the individual title.
