Fort Worth, Texas - Senior Vida Mulec, the last remaining Bear in the 27- team Omni Hotels Southwest Regional Championships in Fort Worth, played two tough matches on Monday, advancing to the finals.
Sixth seeded Mulec advanced to the finals with a win over Arkansas State's Liga Geme 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. In Mulec's finals match vs. Tulane's Julie Smekodub, Mulec was defeated 6-3, 6-3 after the second half of the match was played indoors due to rain.
The Bear's will be in action again at the Fall Desert Classic in Palm Springs, California from November 2-3.
