Men's Tennis Duo at Midland Invitational

WACO, Texas - Two Baylor men's tennis players, Reiner Neurohr and Ivor Lovrak, are competing in the Midland Invitational in Midland, Texas this weekend.

Both players opened the tournament with first round losses. Lovrak, a freshman, opened tournament play with a loss to sophomore Ruben Torres of Southern California. Neurohr, playing in his first competition of the fall, lost to Stanford freshman Sam Warburg.

Both athletes bounced back to win first round matches in the consolation bracket. Lovrak defeated Texas' Drew Hoskins and Neurohr bested Peter Oredsson of SMU. Lovrak fell in the second round to Texas Tech's Diederick DeGroot. Neurohr stayed alive in the tournament with a victory over Aaron Yovan of UCLA. He will face Khaled El Dorry of Texas A&M in the semifinals of the consolation bracket on Sunday.
