One BU Netter Remains in the Icy Hot/ITA Championships

WACO, Texas - Benedikt Dorsch adds another win to his now 10-0 record for the Icy Hot/ITA Tournament, while ranked players No. 3 Benjamin Becker, No. 28 Zoltan Papp and No. 80 Matias Marin were eliminated from the tournament.

Benedikt Dorsch with his perfect 10-0 record defeated Miami's Todd Widom, 6-3, 6-7(5), 7-5 and moved on to the round of 16 where he knocked off Georgia's Bo Hodge 6-0, 6-1. No. 28 Zoltan Papp also advanced through to the next round after defeating Paco Antelo of South Florida, 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 but fell short against California's Conor Niland 6-4, 1-6, 6-3. Dorsch will face Nilan in the quarterfinals tomorrow morning at 10:30.

Two other ranked players, No. 3 Benjamin Becker and No. 80 Matias Marin both were eliminated from the tournament after dropping their first match of the day. Becker lost in two sets to Phil Stolt of Illinois, 7-6(3), 6-4, while Marin was defeated by Auburn's Rameez Junaid, 6-3, 7-6(7).

Ivor Lovrak, who was bumped down to the consolation round yesterday, was eliminated from the tournament by Georgia's Nik Boeker. After struggling through his first two sets, Lovrak pulled out of his match because of an injury.
