WACO, Texas - Competing in the Midwest Blast in Champaign, Illinois, Baylor's women's tennis team won five of seven singles matches and dropped three of four doubles matches. The tournament is played in dual match format against teams Ohio State, Georgia Tech, and Illinois.

Five Baylor players went undefeated in today's singles matches against Ohio St. Posting victories were seniors Frida Borjesson and Paola Stephen, junior Vida Mulec, and freshmen Barbora Blahutikova and Whitney Morton. The doubles team of Daria Potapova and Borjesson overpowered Illinois' Erin Miller and Tiffany Eklov with an 8-4 victory.

One of the most impressive matches of the day came when Mulec, ranked No. 63 nationally, defeated Ohio State's Monica Rincon, ranked No. 57 nationally, 6-3, 6-4.
