Baylor's women's golf team leads the field at the Wolverine Invitational after two rounds Saturday in Ann Arbor, Mich. The Bears shot an opening round 320, followed by a 315 in Round Two, to take a five-stroke lead over second place Michigan, the tournament host.

Baylor is led by junior Tara Bateman and sophomore Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson, who stand tied at second in the individual standings at 10-over-par 156. Bateman shot identical rounds of 78 on Saturday, while Svenningsson opened with a 80 in Round One before carding a 3-over 76 in the second.

Sophomore Melanie Hagewood is tied for fifth individually after shooting rounds of 81 and 80 Saturday. The Bears also boast a fourth golfer among the top 10 individuals, including junior Nicole Johnson at No. 7, who carded two rounds of 81.

Rounding out the Baylor individuals are Freshman Michaelyn Morgan, who shot an 83, 82 and stands tied for 14th, and junior Jennie Persson, currently tied at 33rd after rounds of 89 and 85.

The tournament is made up of 11 teams, and the leaders, behind Baylor and Michigan, include Arkansas-Little Rock in third place, followed by Ohio University and Toledo.

The Wolverine Invitational concludes Sunday with 18 holes at the University of Michigan Golf Course.
