Emma Bishop joined Baylor Athletics in September 2024 as the Spirit & Traditions Coordinator. In her role, she coaches the All-Girl and Coed cheer teams and serves all Spirit members through various coordination needs.
Before arriving at Baylor, Emma worked at Steele Athletics and Fossil Ridge High School in Northern Colorado. She began coaching with both programs in 2019 and became the Gym Manager for Steele in 2022. Prior to moving to Colorado, Emma worked at Tyler Junior College as the Assistant Cheer Coach. Additionally, she was a staff member for Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) and Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders (FCC).
Emma attended Baylor University. While she was a student, she was a member and captain of the coed cheer team for 4 years. Throughout her coaching and athletic career, she has specialized in tumbling and stunting technique. Emma graduated from Baylor University in May 2017 with a Bachelor’s in Psychology. She obtained certification for coaching in 2017 and has continued certification through various platforms (USA/AACCA, USASF, NFHS, CHSAA) as needed for her specific roles.
Emma is originally from Katy, Texas. She is married to Justin Bishop, and they have two children, Colton (2021) and Zoe (2025).
