2012 (Senior): Did not play final season due to back injury.
2011 (Junior): Played all 13 games, started one at defensive tackle... Totaled five tackles (five solo) and one quarterback hurry... Made lone start of season and recorded season-high two tackles in win over No. 5 Oklahoma... Moved back to d-line during spring after one season at fullback.
2010 (Sophomore): Played all 13 games, started four at fullback... Primarily blocker, had no carries on season, caught four passes for 30 yards... Had single receptions vs. Buffalo, at No. 4 TCU, vs. Texas Tech and vs. K-State... Made career-first start in win over Kansas State in eighth game, had season-long 12-yard reception... Started four straight games in weeks 8-11... Moved to fullback full-time during spring 2010 drills.
2009 (Redshirt Freshman): Played in 11 of 12 games as redshirt freshman in 2009... Earned first collegiate letter... Played all but second game vs. UConn (coach[apos]s decision), saw action from scrimmage in nine of 11 games played, played only special teams in other two... Reserve defensive lineman in first two-thirds of season, took snaps at fullback in final few games... Made three total tackles on season and had no carries offensively... Made collegiate debut in season-opening win at Wake Forest... Made first career tackle and finished with career-high two tackles in win over Northwestern State in third game... Also had tackle at No. 19 Oklahoma in fifth game. 2008 (True Freshman): Sat out first season at Baylor and participated on practice squad, redshirted to retain eligibility... Selected to the spring 2009 Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Roll.
High School: Cuero High School, Cuero, Texas... Two-way standout played offensive guard, defensive end and tight end for Gobblers... Earned third-team 2007 Texas Sports Writers Association Class 3A All-State honors as both tight end and defensive end... Also second-team Class 3A Associated Press All-State defensive tackle and honorable-mention pick as tight end... Unanimous first-team All-District 29-3A as both tight end and defensive end in final prep season for second consecutive year... First-team Victoria Advocate all-area tight end... Totaled 58 tackles and nine sacks as senior... Member of 2007 Texas Football Texas Top 300... As junior, registered 60 tackles en route to second-team Class 3A All-State honors from both The Associated Press and Texas Sports Writers Association... Earned unanimous first-team All-District 29-3A honors as both defensive end and offensive lineman as junior... Also standout discus thrower...
