Expanded pregame destination features live entertainment, family activities, food trucks and an extended Bear Walk
WACO, Texas – Baylor Athletics will introduce an enhanced Touchdown Alley experience at McLane Stadium this fall, providing fans with an expanded lineup of entertainment, activities and food options before every home football game.
Touchdown Alley will open three hours before kickoff and feature attractions for fans of all ages. A Baylor Spirit Squad performance will begin two and a half hours before kickoff, followed by the extended Bear Walk at the two-hour mark. The Bear Walk will include the Bear Bell, Golden Wave Band drumline and Bruiser and Marigold as the Bears make their way into McLane Stadium.
The Baylor Football Tailgate Show will also begin two hours prior to kickoff with hosts John Morris, Derek Smith, Faith Lynch, Bryson Jackson and special guests each home game, featuring game day coverage and highlights from across college football.
Following the Bear Walk, the Baylor Backyard Live concert series will take the stage one hour and 45 minutes before kickoff. For games kicking off before noon CT, Baylor Backyard Live will take place after the game.
"Touchdown Alley gives Baylor fans a place to come together and begin their game day well before the Bears take the field," Aaron Fordyce, Associate AD for Marketing and Fan Experience, said. "We have added more entertainment, more family-friendly activities and more opportunities for fans to experience the energy and traditions that make Saturdays at McLane Stadium special."
Fans can enjoy a Kids Zone featuring an inflatable bounce house, obstacle course, pass-and-kick activation and the Bear Chair photo opportunity. Touchdown Alley will also include a rock-climbing wall, cornhole, giant Jenga, free face painting and a video game truck (starting Sept. 19 vs. Louisiana Tech) at every home game.
The Cooling Zone near the Baylor Alumni Tailgate Tent will offer fans a shaded place to relax and watch some of the day's biggest college football games.
A rotating selection of three food trucks will remain open until kickoff. The first 500 fans to visit the cooling zone will receive a $5 food truck voucher. The Baylor Bookstore trailer will also be on-site with the latest Baylor apparel and merchandise.
