Bears to compete in a home-and-home series with Colorado, Kansas and UCF
IRVING, Texas – Baylor men's basketball is one step closer to its 2026-27 season as the Big 12 Conference announced the schedule matrix for the upcoming season on Thursday afternoon.
Baylor's three home-and-home opponents are Colorado, Kansas and UCF with its six remaining home games against Cincinnati, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State and West Virginia. BU will have road contests waiting at Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, TCU, Texas Tech and Utah.
The 18-game schedule features home-and-home matchups with three conference foes, plus single meetings with the other 12 opponents, evenly split between six home and six road games. Opponents were selected based on what the conference deemed the best-balanced schedule in terms of travel and competitiveness.
At home, Baylor will face Colorado twice in the regular season for the first time since 1951 and has not lost to the Buffaloes at home since 2003. UCF will make just its second all-time trip to Waco, while the Bears look to extend their five-game home winning streak against Kansas. Iowa State and Houston will also make the trip to Waco, as will Kansas State, where Baylor has won four of the last five home meetings. Cincinnati visits for the third time since joining the Big 12 in 2024, and the Bears will look to extend their eight-game winning streak against West Virginia, a team they have not lost to at home since 2018.
Baylor will travel to Allen Fieldhouse for the second consecutive year and make a trip east to Orlando, where the Bears look to replicate last season's thrilling 87-86 road win. Baylor and TCU will meet at Schollmaier Arena, with the Bears having won five of their last six road games against the Horned Frogs. It will also mark the first time since the 2020-21 season the two teams will not play a home-and-home series.
The Bears will then head west for the bulk of their road schedule, with trips to Texas Tech, Colorado, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU and Utah. Baylor remains undefeated against the Utes since Utah joined the Big 12.
