WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis added Na Dong and Zuzanna Kubacha to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women's Tennis teams, selected by CSC members, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes women's tennis honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Dong, a senior communication major, earned a 3.9 cumulative GPA in her two seasons wearing the green and gold. On the court, she compiled a 22-win season in singles play that included a 10-match streak through February and March. Dong also totaled 24 singles wins and was a staple for the Bears at the second and third courts, claiming 10 wins in conference play alone. She was named to the All-Big 12 First Team in both singles and doubles this year, following her introductory campaign in 2024-25 that earned her Big 12 and ITA Texas Region Newcomer of the Year honors.
Kubacha, a junior health, kinesiology and leisure studies major, continued to excel off the court with a 3.7 GPA through three years in Waco. The All-Big 12 First Team singles honoree recorded 23 wins, primarily at the No. 2 spot in the spring, with a few appearances at the top court. She also posted a 17-win season in doubles play, stringing together six consecutive wins to begin conference play.
The duo also competed in the fall NCAA Singles and Doubles Championship in Orlando, Florida, after qualifying through the Central Sectional Championship in singles and the Texas Regional Championship in doubles. In the tournament, in its second season being played in the fall, Dong defeated the No. 1 overall seed in the round of 64, while Kubacha earned a victory over the 2022 Wimbledon girls singles champion.
Both have advanced to the national voting period for Academic All-America consideration, voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced June 2.
