Bears welcome nine teams, including three conference opponents

WACO, Texas – Baylor women's tennis welcomes a strong field of competition to the Hurd Tennis Center for the Baylor H-E-B Invite, set to run Friday through Sunday. The tournament will feature Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa State, Texas A&M, Rice, UTSA, UTRGV, Denver, and Illinois.
Doubles play will kick off the day's action at 9 a.m. with a 32-team draw. Ten matches are set for the opening round, followed by a second round of doubles for all main-draw teams and two consolation contests.
Singles competition is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., starting with 12 matches before the remaining contests roll throughout the afternoon. Singles matches will follow a best-of-three format, with a 10-point tiebreaker deciding the third set if necessary.
Baylor's lineup for the weekend will feature newcomers Luna Ivkovic, Mu-Jie Tzeng and Alian Zack, alongside returning Bear Kennedy Gibbs.
Fans can follow results on the ITA Tournament Homepage and stream matches through Playsight. Admission to the Hurd Tennis Center is free throughout the weekend.
