Littlepage-Buggs returns with third consecutive preseason watch list mention
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Baylor women's basketball senior Darianna Littlepage-Buggs has been named to the 2025-26 Preseason Watch List for the Katrina McClain Power Forward of the Year Award for the third-straight season, as announced by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame on Thursday.
The Katrina McClain Award recognizes the top power forwards in women's college basketball every year. The senior is listed among the top 20 in the country after being named top five at the conclusion of last season.
A Katrina McClain Award finalist and WBCA honorable mention All-American, Littlepage-Buggs contributed 13.8 points per game in 28 games with 11 double-doubles in the 2024-25 slate.
The Oklahoma City, Okla., native posted 19 games with double-digit points, 17 with double-digit rebounds and put together a 20-point, 20-rebound game against UNLV, the first for a Bear since 2022. Littlepage-Buggs was one of two players across Power Four conferences with eligibility remaining to average a double-double.
An updated top 10 list for the Katrina McClain Award will be released in January, with the final five narrowed in late March. Throughout the season, the list will be fluid, and players will have the ability to play themselves on or off the list until the five finalists are selected.
The 2025-26 season officially tips off at Adidas Arena in Paris, France, where the Bears face No. 7 Duke at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 3. The matchup will be the first televised game of the season and the first ranked-versus-ranked contest in the NCAA.
Baylor women's basketball is presented by Central National Bank, a family-owned, independent bank headquartered in Waco, Texas, that provides uniquely personal service while simultaneously embracing the latest developments in banking technology.
