SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Baylor soccer Falls against Utah, 2-0, Sunday afternoon at Ute Field.
Baylor's Callie Conrad took first shot of the match in the 10th minute, but her shot was off target after back-to-back corner kicks for the Bears.
The Bears had one more shot before Utah made the first goal of the match. After a blocked shot, Utah's Kelly Bullock scored in the 18th minute to take the early 1-0 lead.
After the goal, Baylor was only able to get off one more shot in the first half, off of the boot of Alysiah Lockette but the BU defense and goalkeeper Azul Alvarez kept the Utes from netting anymore goals in the first 45.
To get things started in the second half, Baylor earned a corner in the 50th minute that led to a shot by Kate Zimmerman, but the shot was just off target. Conrad put the Bears first shot on frame in the 81st minute but Utah came up with the save.
Although out-shooting Utah, 7-6, in the second half, it was the Utes who came up with an insurance goal in the 88thminute off the boot of Lilliah Blum with put Utah ahead, 2-0.
Not able to take any more chances, BU fell against the Utes two minutes later.

Up next, the Bears will head to Ames, Iowa to face Iowa State in the final match of the regular season on Friday, Oct. 25 at 6 p.m. CT.
