Bears finalize regular season at perfect 8-0
EUGENE, Ore. – No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling continued its winning ways against No. 5 Oregon on Sunday afternoon in the Eugene, winning 281.990 – 270.775 over the Ducks.Â

The Bears (8-0) defeated the Ducks (2-4) with by a total of 11.215 points to cap off the season, while improving the all-time record to 19-13.

BU overtook Oregon in every event, though the two stayed close. Only four heats in the entire meet fell the Ducks' way.Â

The Bears had scores all over 9.5 in compulsory, highlighted by a perfect 10 in toss, finishing with a total of 39.10, besting Oregon's 38.90.

In the acro event, Baylor had no scores under a 9.80, scoring a 9.80 in the five element, 9.90 in the six element, and 9.80 in the seven element for a total of 29.50. Oregon had a total of 27.75 in the event.

For pyramid, the Bears continued their winning ways and recorded a 9.95 in all three heats. BU finished the event at 29.85, with the Ducks close behind at 29.60. At the half, Baylor led 98.45 to 96.25.

BU had a 9.50, 9.65 and 9.80 in the toss event to have a total of 28.95 points, compared to Oregon's 28.55.Â
In tumbling, the Bears scored above a 9.50 in four out of the six heats. The open pass was the highlight of the event once again, with BU scoring a 9.95 out of 10 with Bri Harris competing. Baylor finished at 56.250 for the event while Oregon scored a 56.075. Going into the final event of the night, the Bears led by 2.775 points.

BU had a 98.340 score in the team event to end the meet, bringing the total to 281.990. Oregon had a 89.90 point total from the team event to total 270.775 for the meet.
