Bears improve to 4-0 with the defeat of the Lions
SAINT LEO, Fla. – No. 1 Baylor acrobatics & tumbling continued its winning ways against Saint Leo on Tuesday night in Florida, winning 285.240 – 261.890 over the Lions.

The Bears improved to 4-0 on the season with the win over SLU.
Â
BU overtook Saint Leo in every event, not dropping a single heat to the Tigers.
Â
For the compulsory event, Baylor scored over a 9.9 in all heat but one, finishing with 2.5 more points than SLU.
Â
In the acro event, Baylor had two 9.9 scores for the first and second heats, and scored a 9.7 in the third for a total score of 29.50, bringing the running total to 67.95 for the Bears. Saint Leo scored a 27.70 in the event to have a running total of 63.65.

For pyramid, the Bears continued their winning ways and once again scored over a 9.5 in all three heats. Baylor had a perfect 10.0 score in the synchronized pyramid for the second time this season. BU finished the event at 29.65, with the Lions at 28.85. At the half, Baylor led 97.60 - 92.50.

BU had a 9.75, 9.6 and 9.85 in the toss event to have a total of 29.15 points, compared to Saint Leo's 26.10. The running total improved to 126.75 for Baylor and 118.60 for the Lions.
In tumbling, the Bears didn't score less than a 9.3 in any of the six heats. The open pass was the highlight of the event, with BU's Bri Harris competing and scoring a 9.975 out of 10. Baylor finished at 57.95 for the event while SLU scored a 51.50. Going into the final event of the night, the Bears led by 14.6 points, 184.70 – 170.10.

BU had a 100.54 score in the team event to end the meet, bringing the total to 285.24. Saint Leo had a 91.79 point total from the team event to total 261.89 for the meet.
