No. 15 VB Faces Iowa State Wednesday

Bears host Cyclones for midweek match
WACO, Texas – The No. 15-ranked Baylor volleyball team hosts Iowa State on Wednesday night in the Ferrell Center with first serve set for 7 p.m.
The Bears (21-5, 10-3 Big 12 Conference) take on the Cyclones (18-9, 9-4 Big 12) for the second time on the season, this time in Waco. The Cyclones are currently receiving votes in the AVCA poll.
ISU took the win in the first match of this season's series, 3-1, in Ames on Sept. 28. The all-time series is still led by BU at 30-25 with a 15-12 record in the Ferrell Center.
Baylor head coach Ryan McGuyre is 11-4 against the Cyclones, while Christy Johnson-Lynch is 20-15 against BU in her 18 seasons with ISU.
Baylor is coming off a 3-1 loss to TCU on the road, while Iowa State took a 3-1 match at home over Texas Tech.
As of Tuesday, the Bears are second in the Big 12 for kills, hitting percentage, assists, and blocks. Individually, Mallory Talbert is second in hitting percentage at .411, Lauren Harrison is fifth in kills with 277, Averi Carlson leads the league in assists with 1,028 while being second in average per set (10.82) and Kara McGhee leads the conference in blocks (142) and blocks per set (1.49).
