
No. 1 A&T Tops No. 2 Oregon on Senior Day

WACO, Texas – The No. 1-ranked Baylor acrobatics and tumbling team took care of business in its regular season finale, defeating No. 2 Oregon 280.230 to 274.875 Sunday afternoon at Ferrell Center.
Baylor (9-0) swept all six events, using 13 scores of at least 9.80 to top the Ducks (5-2) and secure its 27thconsecutive meet victory. The Bears have won each of their last seven meets against Oregon, dating back to 2017.
Baylor grabbed the lead after the first event, taking compulsory 38.70 to 38.05 after scoring a 9.95 in the toss portion. In acro, the Bears edged the Ducks by a tenth of a point, extending their lead to 68.25 to 67.50 after two events.
At halftime, Baylor remained in front 97.85 to 96.95 after scoring at least a 9.85 in all three heats of pyramid. The Bears scored a 9.95 in the open heat of toss, highlighting their fourth event win and increasing their lead to 127.20 to 126.00.
In tumbling, Kaylee Adams threw the highest-scoring pass, a 9.90 in the six element heat, to lead Baylor to another event win. The Bears took a 184.250 to 182.125 lead into the team routine.
To cap off their total score, the Bears earned 95.98 points in the team event to put the exclamation point on the meet victory.
Fifth-year head coach Felecia Mulkey earned her 50thcareer win as a Bear. She has only lost one meet during her time at Baylor.
The Bears will return to the mat for the NCATA National Championships April 25-27 in Waco.
