WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis (9-10) dropped a 4-1 decision to No. 12 Oklahoma State (12-1) at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center on Friday night.
The Cowgirls scored first, notching the doubles point with victories on courts one and two with scores of 7-5 and 6-2, respectively. Oklahoma State kept the momentum on their side throughout singles play.
Freshman Livia Kraus scored Baylor's lone point, defeating Shir Hornung at the No. 6 singles spot, 6-0, 6-1.
Oklahoma State earned singles victories on courts three and five with scores of 6-3, 6-1, and 6-2, 7-5. The Cowgirls clinched the match with a three-set win at the No. 1 spot, 6-3, 3-6, 6-1.
OTHER NOTABLES
- Freshman Livia Kraus notched her fifth win of the dual match season.
- Baylor is 9-10 on the season and has challenged 12 ranked opponents.
