BAYLOR POSTGAME QUOTES

BU Head Coach Kim Mulkey
On what did Oklahoma did well on Kalani BrownÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I have to look at the film. I never saw a double or triple team. OU takes a lot of charges, so we tried moving her away from the block to stay in the game. We moved everything up high which was effective. I guess just one-on-one basketball. I thought Lauren (Cox) played very well down there. Kristy (Wallace) struggled with her shot, but you can't take her off the floor because she will make some big play for you. I thought Didi (Richards) was the difference in the game off the bench. First half our defense was good on certain players. We played hard in parts of the game, but OU played harder in other parts of the game. Every game is going to be like this from now on. We all know each other very well."

On being outscored 9-1 in the start of the fourth quarterÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"We had some bad turnovers. They got out and got physical and cut off the passing lanes. We would try to pass it and OU played very hard for a span there. You know they could have won it. Who ever made the plays at the end was going to win that game. We happened to make plays and got to the foul line."

On battling for tonight's winÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"You know to experience it, but we have had a few of those this year. Early in the year, I wasn't at UCLA but that was the same game. Oklahoma State, West Virginia, you know we have some good teams left, and we haven't even seen TCU. Then we go back to Oklahoma State. We just have to battle and try to win another championship."

Senior Dekeiya Cohen
On OU letting her shoot outsideÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"It was very important that I made those shots. With the big players down low and me being an undersized post player, I know that it's important that I stretch the floor and use that to my advantage. It allowed us to get more passes inside, so that worked out for us. "

Sophomore Lauren Cox
On better defense on Vionise Pierre-Louis in the second halfÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦

"I think we played better defense on her in the second half. We just need to move our feet because she makes multiple moves and we just have to stay with her. We can take those charges on her like she does on us."

OKLAHOMA POSTGAME QUOTES

OU Head Coach Sherri Coale
Opening statementÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"That was a great women's basketball game right down to the wire. I loved the way we played after the first quarter. We were pretty wound up in the first quarter, and then we settled down and executed much better. We fought and the whole group together was holding our own. Our execution's getting better, our defense is getting better. We did a lot of really really good things, and Lauren Cox had a terrific night."

On fronting and backing Kalani BrownÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"We were just trying to clog it up and cut as many visual passing lines as we possibly could and if she caught it, trying to dig it out. We were doing a good job defensively. We just needed to score, and it was kind of that way when they came to our place earlier but fortunately we dug our way out a little quicker tonight."

On fighting to gain momentumÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"When we tied it up, I felt really good about it and I liked the call we made on the next possession, the matchup we were looking for, we just didn't make the shot. We had a couple of looks where you've got to make some plays and they were tough plays, just didn't convert them. I liked our fight. It was very much an in-the-moment kind of game. When it was tied, it could have gone either way. It was just about who made the most plays down the stretch, and I loved being in that position and having that opportunity."

Senior Gabbi Ortiz
On missing shots in the first halfÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"I needed to slow down those shots I had in the first half. I needed to slow down and get open better. If I got the looks, I knew I was going to be confident. I just got going in the second half, and I was really wanting the ball and finding the ball. I knew we needed to go on a run there. Going into halftime I was scoreless, so I knew I needed to put the ball in the basket to give us opportunities."

Senior Vionise Pierre-Louis
On the inside matchupÃÆ'Æ'à € ' ¢ÃƒÆ'Æ' ¢' ¬ ¦
"On defense it was a team connection. It was a team effort to stop them inside, and we decided to let Cox have those. We didn't think she would kill us this much. On offense, I don't think they've played anybody in the Big 12 who goes at them and wears them out on offense, so that was my goal tonight and when we turn around on defense, to not give them easy shots to the paint."
