
WT Falls to No. 9 Ole Miss

WACO, Texas - Baylor women's tennis (2-5) dropped a 4-0 decision to No. 9 Ole Miss (7-1) at Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday afternoon.
The Rebels won the doubles point with victories over Baylor at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots to take control of the match.
Ole Miss went unmatched in singles play, adding three victories to their score to secure the team victory. Natalie Suk defeated Angelina Shakhraichuk, 6-0, 6-2, at the No. 2 position and Anna Vrbenska outlasted Giorgia Testa, 6-3, 6-4, in the No. 6 singles slot.
Sabina Machalova clinched the match for the Rebels with a 6-2, 7-5 win over Camilla Abbate at No. 3 singles.
Baylor is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 18 at 1 p.m. (CT) against 17th-ranked Miami. Cub Tennis will begin at 12 p.m. prior to the match inside the Hawkins Indoor Tennis Center. The free tennis clinic is open to kids 11 and under. Athletic wear is required for participation and tennis equipment is provided.
