
No. 16 WT Falters Against Tulsa

WACO, Texas - The No. 16 Baylor women's tennis program (2-3) faltered on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 4-2 dual match to Tulsa (8-2) inside the Hawkins Tennis Center.
The Golden Hurricane took a 2-0 lead, winning the doubles point with 6-3 victories at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions and adding a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.
The Lady Bears pushed back, tallying a win at No. 6 singles to cut the deficit in half. Freshman Livia Kraus bested Alexandrina Chinikova in dominant fashion, 6-2, 6-0.
After Tulsa added a win at No. 3 singles, Baylor saw sophomore Jessica Hinojosa outlast Vera Ploner, 4-6, 7-5, 7-5, at No. 5 singles in a three-set battle. However, a win at No. 4 singles decided the match for the Golden Hurricane, 4-2.
Tulsa, which is on a three-match win streak, ended the Lady Bears' stretch of 21-straight regular season home victories.
