Bears close out first round of conference play Saturday
WACO, Texas – 24th-ranked Baylor volleyball (12-6, 4-3 Big 12) closes out the first half of Big 12 play with a Saturday matchup against Kansas State (11-7, 1-6 Big 12) starting at 2 p.m. CT at the Ferrell Center.
The match will air live on FOX Sports Southwest Plus with John Morris and Katie Staiger on the call.
Saturday's match will be the team's annual #DigPink match where fans are encouraged to wear pink in support of the fight against breast cancer. The first 300 fans will receive a free pink lapel pin.
Last season, the Bears swept the regular season series for the first time under head coach Ryan McGuyre.
BEARS HOSTS K-STATE FOR ANNUAL DIG PINK MATCH
• After a midweek bye, Baylor volleyball returns to conference action to host K-State Saturday afternoon.
• Baylor looks for its third conference home win of the season and third-straight victory.
• The Bears are currently 8-2 in home matches in 2018, most recently beating TCU on Oct. 10.
• A win would give BU three straight victories over K-State for the first time since the 2009-10 seasons.
• A win would also give BU a 5-2 record against the Wildcats under head coach Ryan McGuyre.
• A win would also give BU three straight home wins against the Wildcats.
• BU looks to end the first half of conference play with a 5-3 record. A loss would move the record to 4-4.

• No. 19 Baylor volleyball pushed its season-best consecutive sets winning streak to 16 before the Bears were forced to fight back from a second-set loss in a 3-1 win over Kansas State Wednesday, Nov. 15, 2017 at the Ferrell Center, 25-14, 20-25, 25-16, 25-19.
• Though the Bears fell one set short of tying the program record set in 2009 with 17 consecutive sets, freshman Yossiana Pressley set a new career-high 24 kills on a .347 hitting clip and added 10 digs for her first career double-double.
• Alongside her was freshman Hannah Lockin who posted her eighth double-double with 36 assists and a career-high 16 digs. Katie Staiger posted nine kills on a .389 attack effort.
• Four Bears posted double-digit digs against the Wildcats (Philo, Lockin, Brusek and Pressley).
